Shoulders treatment assessment

Understanding the area

A complete view of the problem.

The shoulder girdle combines several joints with a sophisticated stabilising system. Its function depends on a fine balance between mobility and stability across five protective tissue layers.

Five defence mechanisms

From alignment to bone.

The assessment moves from shoulder-girdle alignment through muscles, ligaments, cartilage and labrum, to bone. This helps distinguish a postural problem from deeper tissue injury.
